Recorded at The Hilton Hotel, Hyde Park Lane, London on Thursday  March  26th 1964. Unbroadcast on UK radio.
Forth Radio Network
A rare Interview before their second house at the ABC Cinema, Lothian   Road, Edinburgh. Recorded on Wednesday 29th April 1964, conducted by Moira   Furmage this has remained undocumented until now, hence this airing is its   first in over 35 years!

Top Gear Trailers
To launch the new Top Gear Programme these trailers were recorded  at  Bernie Andrews and Terry Doran's flat preceding taping of the 1st show   on Tuesday July 14th 1964. Some were also recorded on July 16th 1964 the   day the show was broadcast.

Here for the first time since the original airing on Sunday July 19th   1964 is The Beatles performance from the summer edition of Mike and Bernie   Winters ITV networked Big Night Out Show. Again, as with other items in  this  series this show was found on a Scotch 3M reel to reel tape. The  complete  show was thought to be lost, but recently the video tape of  the entire show  was unearthed. (Look out for it in the near future)

George Harrison On Juke Box Jury
Recorded on Saturday July 25th 1964 in Studio 4, BBC Television  Centre,  London. George rehearsed his performance in the afternoon and then   appeared in the live broadcast between 5.40 pm - 6.05 pm. Ringo also taped   his appearance for the Saturday August 1st 1964 edition, but unfortunately   we cannot present it in this series as the tapes are lost. (Anybody with   them - get them out and make them available to the world!)
What You're Doing
Take 11 - Recorded at Abbey Road on Wednesday September 30th 1964  this  was documented as being the new 'best' take, although as we know it   was later remade. This is the unedited master tape, with the full reprise   instrumental coda.
Mr Moonlight
Take 4 - 20 - Recorded at Abbey Road on Friday August 14th 1964,  this  cover version of the 1962 Dr Feelgood and The Interns track has a totally   different feel to it than the released take 8 version. It does not feature   the Hammond organ and percussion instruments but features interesting  guitar  work by John and George.

Recorded in their Stockton-on-Tees hotel room before their performance   at The Globe Cinema on Thursday October 15th 1964 and broadcast in the   news-magazine programme North-East Newsview on Friday October 16th 1964.

Here for the first time is the complete recording session that took   place at The Playhouse Theatre, London on Tuesday November 17th 1964. Both   tracks were part of the Top Gear broadcast of Thursday November 26th 1964.   It was the Beatles' 50th music programme contribution for the BBC since 1962

The Beatles performance at The New Musical Express 1964-65 Annual   Pollwinners' All-Star Concert.
 In front of an audience of 10,000 at The Empire Pool Wembley on Sunday   April 11th 1965 The Beatles made their third consecutive contribution to   these annual award shows.

Peter Sellers Presenting
While filming at Twickenham Film Studios, St Margaret's, Twickenham   Peter Sellers presented the Beatle(s)! with a Grammy Award on behalf of  the  US National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. A Hard Day's  Night won  the "Best Performance by a Vocal Group" category for 1964.  Sellers called  it a "Grandma Award" and this lead John and then the  rest of them to sing  a verse from "It's A Long Way To Tipperary". It  was broadcast on the NBC  Grammy Awards programme on Tuesday May 18th  1965
BIS Interview
Recorded at the Saville Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, London on Friday   July 30th 1965 this interview with Dibbs Mather was for the British  Information  Service that was responsible for promoting British culture  in foreign countries.  The interview was packaged with disc material.  titled "The Beatles" and sent  to the British Council in New York for  dispatch to specified US radio stations  for local broadcast.
The Beatles Abroad
Brian Matthew joined The Beatles entourage from the August 15th  - August  20th 1965 to report on this stage of the group's North American  tour.  Brian Epstein gave permission to the BBC Transcription Service to record   interviews with The Beatles for a documentary programme. The material  taped  was compiled into a 45 minute documentary "The Beatles Abroad"  broadcast  by the Light Programme on Monday August 30th 1965 - a bank  holiday in England,  Wales. Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.  Scotland did not hear the  broadcast until Monday January 3rd 1966.  It has not been heard in this form  since those dates. Pop Profil: George Harrison.
These two tracks were recorded at NEMS office in Argyll Street separately   by Brian Matthew for Pop Profile.They were not aired in the UK as the  programme  was produced by the BBC's Transcription Service expressly  for overseas sale.  George was first to be taped, starting at 4.30 pm.  John's interview commenced  at 5.00 pm. Ringo and Paul were taped on  Monday May 2nd 1966, their interviews  are to be found on The Beatles  Mythology, Vol 2. Disc 4, The Beatles 1966  (STR 014).
Disc Three

The Eamonn Andrews Show
Recorded and broadcast Sunday April 11th 1965. Directly after their   performance at The NME Pollwinners Concert, The Beatles went for dress  rehearsals  and a late night live transmission of this weekly series.  This is the first  time that this show has been heard since. The tape  is incomplete, but by  airing this interesting segment we hope that  the rest of the nightceedings  will come to light in the near future.

THE BEATLES ON BLACKPOOL NIGHT OUT.

This was the only British TV appearance to plug Help! The show compered   by Mike and Bemie Winters was networked live from The ABC Theatre,  Blackpool.  They performed the following 6 songs but did not partake  in the comedy sketches.

Saturday Club
Recorded at Studio One, Aeolian Hall, London with Brian Matthew  on  Monday November 29th 1965 for inclusion in the Christmas Day broadcast   edition of Saturday Club. From the unedited original tape here we present   unreleased excerpts from The Beatles contribution to that Christmas Day edition.

Disc Four
1-12 THE BEATLES LIVE AT ESSEN.

Exclusive to this series is the Beatles live performance at Grugahalle,   Norbertstrasse, Essen, West Germany. The Beatles travelled from Munich to   Essen in a special train which had been used by Queen Elizabeth II during   her royal visit the previous year. They gave two shows in Essen, this  being  the afternoon performance, before continuing immediately to Hamburg.

New Musical Express Poll Winners Concert Awards Presentation
The Beatles live performance on Sunday May 1st 1966 was not captured   on video tape due to contractual disagreements between The Beatles  management  and ABC Television. The cameras did tape The Beatles receiving  their poll-awards  and this soundtrack to that film is presented here  for the first time in  over 33 years!

Pop Profile: Ringo Starr

These two tracks were recorded at The Playhouse Theatre on Monday May 2nd   1966. Ringo's interview commenced at 5.00 pm and Paul's followed at 5.30   pm. They compliment John and George's interviews for the same BBC  Transcription  Service overseas programme from 30-11-65. The interviews  were edited to this  form and pressed as 7" singles for exclusive overseas  distribution.
Saturday Club
Recorded at The Playhouse Theatre on Monday May 2nd 1966, and broadcast   a month later on Saturday June 4th as part of Saturday Club. It was the  400th  edition of Saturday Club.
She Loves You
RS1 Geoff Emerick attempted to produce stereo mixes of this track  from  the mono master of the single, as the original two-track tapes had long   been destroyed. He tried twice, here they are.
She Loves You
RS2 - version 2 This version completed in the allotted 90 minutes  was  deemed 'best'. It is the first time that these remixes have appeared  and are exclusive to the Mythology series.
