John and Paul flew to New York on Saturday May 11 to
unwell the groups´ Apple Corps venture via a series of
interviews with the serious press ( all day at the St. Regis
Hotel on Monday 13th), a press conference at 1:30 pm at
the Americana Hotel on Tuesday the 14th and a appearance
on NBC-TV`s Tonight Show later the same day. Discussed
are politic, rassism, Maharishi, drugs and media.

from recording The White Album (they were in the middle
of John´s "Cry baby cry") to attend the London premier of
their new animated film "Yellow Submarine" at the London Pavilion.

Paul interview Liverpool
On Thursday 15 May 1969, the day before he and Linda
went aboard for a holiday, Paul was back in Liverpool,
visiting his family. At some point of this dayat his father´s
house in Haswell, he gave a long interview to former
Liverpool Institute contemporary Roy Carlett, now on
staff at the BBC´s new local station Radio Merseyside.
It was broadcasted in the following day´s edition of
the program Light And Local, Paul called it "a light at the local" |

Two acoustic performances by John and Yoko`s second
and last Bed-In for peace (from Monday 26 May - Monday
2 June 1969) which was held in Montreal (after being refused
by the US and finding the Bahamas too hot). The intend was
the same: to stay under the sheets and welcomw as much
media as would come. It was during this Bed-In that the worlds´
most andurable peace anthem and slogan "Give peace a chance"
was recorded on Saturday 1 June with a host of friends.
