| Liner Notes: A Collection of unreleased
"work-in-progress" mixes, prepared by the Beatles and their Producer, George Martin during the making of the "white album", summer 1968. Most of them are in mono, with/without overdubs, edited/unedited and there ar some unreleased performances as well. Comments: Track 1 is RM 1, this version features the engineer´s announcement and was first released on Primal Colours.Track 2 features a few pre-song guitar notes and the count-in by Paul and seems to be the the stereo version dubbed down to mono. Track 3 is RM 1 with John´s intro (this is Ken MacIntosh and the roving Remixers, take 31) and Paul´s count-in. First released on Primal Colours. Track 4 has the count, the vocal is not yet double tracked and the end features some "come on, come on"`s at the end. Released on "The Peter Seller Tapes" Track 5 features some post-song chatter and was released before on the Lost Lennon Tapes Vol. 4. Track 6 was not released until the Anthology series but this is the long mono-mix. Track 7 is an rough mix of the song. Track 8 is the acoustic version with the "let´s hear that back" comment at the end by George. Track 9 is a strange mix were the isolated fragments taken from "Arrive without aging" and the released were mixed together. Track 10 is taken from the Anthology Series. Track 11 is an alternate mix taken from the Anthology Series. Track 12 is an alternate studio-take taken from "Gone Tomorrow Here Today" by Midnight Beat. Track 13 is an OUTFAKE. Track 14 is RM 3 with count-in and the engineers Announcement taken from Primal Colours. Track 15 is the unedited version from "Peter Sellers Tape" Track 17 is an alternate mix. Track 18 is the video-edit of the song with live vocals by the Beatles. Track 19 is an alternate mix. Track 20 was first released on Vigotones "Turn Me On Dead Man" CD-R last year. |
