    The Beatles first LP entered the Top 10 album charts on  March 27 at No. 9, and after seven weeks in the charts, on May 8, rose to  No. 1, where it stayed fro twenty-nine weeks. It stayed in the Top 10 for  sixty-three weeks, selling 175,000 copies by August 13, 1963.

     The Album holds the record for the longest continous stay at  No. 1 in NME album charts
