Paperback Writer Rain The twelth Beatles single entered the charts  at No. 2 on June 15, making it the first Beatles single since She Loves You to fail to enter the charts directly at No. 1. It reached No.  1 on June 22, staying there for two weeks, it remained it the Top 10 for five weeks and the Top 30 for eight weeks
