NOTES. This show was broadcast live, a rarity for Saturday Club,
because one of the Beatles had a severe cold the day the recording
was scheduled. Although it predates the release of their first LP
by just one week , the group only played three cuts from it,
the remaining songs being rock classics.

THE SONGS:
3. "Too Much Monkey Business".
A Chuck Berry number originally released in 1956.
The Beatles presented it four times on the BBC,
always in a powerful arrangement.
Lead vocalist: John.
4. "I'm Talking About You".
The only BBC recording of another Berry song,
originally released in 1961; also played by the Beatles
in Hamburg.
Lead vocalist: John.
6. "The Hippy Hippy Shake".
Originally released by Chan Romero in 1959, it soon
became a Beatles favourite: it was taped in Hamburg
and played 5 times during the BBC shows.
Lead vocalist: Paul.
